Production has officially begun on the sequel to 2014’s wildly successful blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and a few new faces are involved.<br />According to the Facebook page of the franchise’s writer/director James Gunn, principal photography began Wednesday on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.<br />2” in Atlanta and one of Gunn’s favorite actors is along for the ride.<br />“I’m glad to announce that, yes, Kurt Russell has joined our cast and, yes, he is a more awesome a dude than I ever could have imagined.”<br />It has not yet been announced who Russell will be playing, but according to the information released on Marvel.com, the second movie will “unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.”
