Footage from Horseshoe Bend on Colorado River, Arizona, US shows tourists dicing with death as they take photos and enjoy the view right from the cliff's edge earlier this week.

The filmer wrote online: "There aren't any guards or fences at the lookout point, so people can really enjoy the view.

"That also mean that they can go and sit at the edge of the rock, some 1000 feet above the river, and take selfies and pictures. Which they often do.

"But it's very risky, you are one slip away from death - and people died in the past falling down from the cliff. Would you risk a life for a nice picture?"
