Haryana, Feb 21 (ANI): With the protests by Jats demanding Other Backward Classes (OBC) status entered the seventh day on Sunday, several parts of Haryana remained under curfew while 12 people have been killed so far. The agitation disrupted major highways and rail traffic in large parts of the state after protestors took to the streets. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda sat on a fast at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi appealing to the protesting Jat Community to maintain law and order and call off the agitation. Security forces were deployed at the Munak Canal and various other national highways connecting Haryana with other states after protestors refused to allow the passage function normally.
