The New Orleans Pelicans currently have a 22-33 record and their season is practically over.<br />Injuries have crippled the team, effort has been inconsistent and there isn't enough talent on the team.<br />But after a 59-point explosion by Anthony Davis , many asked whether or not Davis is the best big man in the NBA .<br />And even after the surreal game Davis had against the Detroit Pistons , Davis is still not the best big man in the league.<br />Even if Davis’ perimeter teammates were healthy he still wouldn’t be the best big man in the league.<br />Davis is not truly playing the role of a big man.<br />He played point guard in high school and he is still getting used to his big man body.<br />The best big man in the league is DeMarcus Cousins (even if Cousins is beginning to take too many 3-point shots).<br />Davis is slightly better than Cousins, but he doesn’t play as deep in the paint as Cousins does.<br />Davis is a top-ten frontcourt player in this league, but he should not be considered a big man.
