Duncan Jones is applauding Lorde for her touching tribute to his late father David Bowie , over a week after slamming Lady Gaga for her performance at the Grammys.<br />The emotional tribute kicked off with a spotlight in the midst of an empty stage as the opening lines of Bowie's "Space Oddity" recording played in the background.<br />Members of the late legend's backing band from his 2003 A Reality Tour also played a medley of Bowie's hits before Lorde joined them on the red lit stage.<br />In contrast, Jones described Gaga's effects-heavy Grammys tribute using the dictionary definition of the word "Gaga."<br />While Lorde was arguably the most memorable performance of the Brit Awards, the event was also packed with musical acts from Justin Bieber , Rihanna and Adele , who took home four awards.
