Betty Boop is an animated American cartoon character.\r<br>She made her first appearance on August 9, 1930 in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes. The name Betty Boop came later; in Dizzy Dsishes she was nameless.\r<br>\r<br>In Dizzy Dishes Betty appeared originally as an anthropomorphic French poodle. In later films Bettys floppy poodle ears became hoop earrings and her black poodle nose became a button-like nose.\r<br>\r<br>Betty Boop is one of the most well-known and popular cartoon characters around the world.\r<br>\r<br>Even though Clara Bow was given as being the model for Boop, but Betty actually began as a caricature of singer Helen Kane.
