<p>Militants from the Islamic group Al-Shabaab stormed the Mogadishu SYL hotel in Somalia on Friday, February 26, killing nine and wounding as many as 21. Four militants and a suicide bomber were killed as police brought the siege to an end, according to reports</a>. The militants had detonated a car bomb at the gates of the Somali Youth League hotel before entering the grounds of the hotel and opening fire.</p><p>Al–Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack later on Friday, according to the BBC</a>.
