Mance Lipscomb's (1895_1976) <br />Born in Navasota Texas mance spent most of his life as a tenant farmer until being discovered during the blues revival of 1960.He used a dead thumb finger picking style. <br />An annual blues festival in held in his honour in Navasota and a bronze statue was unveiled at the Mance Lipscomb's park in Navasota <br />The statue is of him sitting on a bench playing his guitar
