Hound is a natural language virtual assistant built off of the SoundHound’s proprietary platform.<br />In other words, SoundHound is taking on Apple’s Siri, Google Now, and Microsoft’s Cortana.<br />Word first spread about Hound last June when it began accepting applications for its private beta.<br />At the time, SoundHound hoped for 1,000 testers, but in 2 months, had 300,000 applications from all around the world.<br />Today, not only has the Android version become available to all, but the company has also released an iOS version of the app.<br />In addition, the company has added two new partners to the mix, integrating Yelp and Uber into its app.
