It's official: Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC.<br />The 2016 show will mark Kimmel's second time hosting the Emmys, serving as emcee of the show in 2012, when it last aired on ABC.<br />Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers are NBC's most recent hosts with Fox going with Andy Samberg last year and CBS selecting Neil Patrick Harris to host in 2009 and 2013.<br />ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey added, “Jimmy Kimmel is the consummate showman.<br />With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder, and better-than-ever Emmy event.”
