LITTLETON, COLORADO — The disgraced former face of Subway tasted a few knuckle sandwiches in a prison yard assault. <br /> <br />Convicted pedophile Jared Fogle suffered facial injuries when he was beaten by another inmate on Jan. 29, according to an incident report published by the New York Daily News. <br /> <br />Convicted armed robber Steven Nigg, 60, knocked Fogle to the ground and dished out a beating in which the former sandwich peddler sustained a bloody nose, swelling to his face and scratches to his neck. <br /> <br />The attack was confirmed by members of Nigg’s family, who told the New York Daily News that despite being punished with a spell in solitary confinement and losing time off his 15-year sentence he’d earned for good behavior, Nigg was proud of what he did and would do it again given the chance. <br /> <br />The only way Fogle has managed to avoid eating a few human foot-longs in jail is by paying for protection from other inmates, Nigg’s nephew, Jimmy Nigg Jr., told the New York Daily News. <br /> <br />Nigg Jr. added that rather than keeping a low profile like most sex offenders, fatty Fogle has been acting like a big shot behind bars, which his uncle took exception to. <br /> <br />Kiddy fiddler Fogle has reportedly abandoned his “Eat Fresh” philosophy at Colorado’s Englewood prison, according to an In Touch Weekly report on March 2. <br /> <br />Instead, he has gained 30 pounds by feasting on cakes and whole boxes of Honey Buns in one sitting, the report claimed. <br /> <br />Fogle’s attorney denied that report was true, telling TMZ that Fogle had been exercising regularly on the prison’s track. <br /> <br />Fogle earned millions of dollars as as a spokesman for Subway after he lost 245 pounds in a year by eating their sandwich-like products. But Subway cut all ties with him last year, not long before he was sentenced to 15.6 years in prison for child sex crimes.
