Spotify is not showing any signs of slowing down – despite new competition from the likes of TIDAL and Apple Music.<br />Founder Daniel Ek has revealed his hugely-popular music streaming service now boasts an impressive 30 million paid subscribers.<br />That's an increase of 10 million paid customers compared to June 2015, and some 20 million more than 2014.<br />During the same period, Apple Music picked up 11 million paid subscribers.<br />Apple Music will likely get some big new features in September, when the US firm rolls out its latest operating system update, iOS 10.<br />Spotify recently tried to tempt customers to upgrade to paid subscriptions with a free ChromeCast.<br />Spotify sees growth only continuing, rather than slowing down, and feels that exclusives – such as Kanye’s new Life of Pablo on TIDAL – aren’t really doing that much to entice people away from the service.
