A pipe bomb exploded in an alley in the southern California city of Anaheim at about 13:50 Sunday, causing minor damage and forcing the evacuation of some nearby homes. <br /> <br />Local residents reported the incident to the police after hearing a loud noise and seeing white smoke rising from the alley. <br /> <br />No injuries have been reported as a result of the explosion, which occurred five kilometers away from the Disneyland theme park. <br /> <br />A preliminary inspection by bomb squad personnel determined there had been a pipe bomb blast and that it had charred and damaged a concrete wall and a utility pole. <br /> <br />Nearby homes were evacuated after the explosion, with residents allowed to return home shortly after. <br /> <br />The incident is still under investigation.
