Uttar Pradesh, Mar 28 (ANI): The two-day Urs of Nasiruddin Shah is highly esteemed in the Northern state of India. The 701th Urs of the Sufi saint is attended by thousands of devotees who come from different parts of the country to pay their respects to the noble soul and seek his blessings. Devotees touched the sacred marble at the shrine and offered silent prayers. A special offering was also distributed to the visitors, who later spread a sacred cloth at the burial place of the spiritual saint. Nasiruddin Shah was a revered saint who spread the message of peace, brotherhood and unity as advocated by Islam. For him, his love of God implied love for humanity, and his vision of the world was marked by a highly evolved sense of secularity and kindness.
