The FDA approved a request by Danco Laboratories Wednesday to expand authorized use of its abortion pill Mifeprex.<br />The changes include dosage decreases, reduction in the number of trips to the doctor, permission to use the treatment up to 70 days into pregnancy, and relaxes prescriber guidelines.<br />Medical practices will not change for most abortion patients, as doctors have been legally steering away from old FDA protocol based on new research.<br />The label change is effective immediately.
