An Insurance Institute for Highway Safety study released Wednesday shows only one of 31 midsize cars offers a headlight option with a “good” rating.<br />IIHS found many of the industry’s luxury midsize cars perform just as poorly as mainstream models.<br />Visibility issues create safety hazards, ranging from excess glare to inadequate illumination.<br />The study also revealed U.S. auto-safety regulators haven’t changed headlight regulations for a half century.
