Last week, the technical institute Saul Zelaya Jimenez was threaten by gangs. The institute, located in southern Tegucigalpa, is less than a kilometer away from las Torres, a neighborhood where gangs forcefully expelled more than 30 families from their homes. The military is now patrolling several public schools as criminal gangs gain ground in the country.
