The Nomad EP — his latest outing on Phonica-related imprint, Utopia — is quite the open market stall: jazz fusion, ambient dabblings and Afro-Caribbean flavours make for a sumptuous listen. <br /> <br />It's a brave and all-encompassing approach from the man who recently stepped out on Neroli Records with the endearing Music for The Golden Age. One which is highlighted most accurately on the title track. <br /> <br />At its zenith, the "Nomad (Full Experience)" soars between Jazzanova-esque rhythms; emotive and considerably light on its toes. Those guitar twangs are plucked from the ripe summer months, making this a strong shoe-in for best background music as you lap up the August rays. <br /> <br />It's out way before that though; early May to be precise.
