A suspect has been taken into custody by the Austin Police Department on Friday in the murder case involving University of Texas-Austin student Haruka Weiser.<br />Meechaiel Khalil Criner, a 17-year-old homeless male, is the sole suspect wanted in the case and surveillancefootage released by the APD was instrumental in catching him.<br />Police Chief Art Acevedo is "very certain" his force has apprehended the correct person.<br />Criner was originally recognized after being spotted riding a bike that belonged to Weiser.
