On MSNBCs The Morning Joe Show, host Joe Scarborough commented about predictions that Donald Trump wrote in one of his books: \r
\r
“He predicted, basically predicted, the attacks from Osama bin Laden.”\r
\r
Donald Trump predicted in his book, The America We Deserve, published in 2000, that there would be an attack on the World Trade Center.\r
\r
“I really am convinced were in danger of the sort of terrorist attacks that will make the bombing of the [1993] Trade Center look like kids playing with firecrackers.\r
\r
Mr. Trump recently suggested that George W. Bush failed to protect the country from the terror attacks.\r
\r
“When you talk about George Bush, I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time.”\r
\r
In his book, Trump mentioned the mastermind behind the threat by name:\r
\r
“One day were told that a shadowy figure with no fixed address named Osama bin-Laden is public enemy number one, and U.S. jetfighters lay waste to his camp in Afghanistan.\r
\r
These predictions by Trump brought an incredulous reaction on MSNBCs Morning Joe:\r
\r
Joe Scarborough: “Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.wait. OK, hold on a second. Is this really Trump before 9/11? Have you read this?”\r
\r
Willie Geist: “Its 2000 in his book.”\r
\r
Joe Scarborough: “Are we making…? Did someone…? Did you make this up?”\r
\r
Willie Geist: “Osama bin Laden was in the atmosphere and he wrote about it in the book.”
