'Affluenza' teen sentenced to two years in jail

A Texas teen made his first appearance in an adult court after receiving probation for his affluenza defense following a 2013 drunk-driving accident that killed four people.<br />A State District Judge ordered Ethan Couch to spend 180 days in jail for each of the four people he killed.<br />It's not clear whether time served will be taken into account.<br />Couch's case was moved to an adult court after he turned 19.<br />He was 16 years old at the time when he crashed his pickup truck into a crowd of people helping a motorist.<br />He is known as "affluenza" teen because his defense attorney claimed his affluent upbringing hindered him in understanding the gravity of the situation.
