ndia, Maldives signed six agreements. <br />On 11 April 2016 India and Maldives singed six agreements to promote the bilateral relations between the two countries. <br />These agreements were signed during the two-day official visit of Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom in New Delhi. <br />These agreements contain; <br />• Agreement for Avoidance of Double Taxation of income. <br />• Agreement for the Exchange of Information with respect to Taxes. <br />• Bilateral Agreement related to Orbit Frequency Coordination of "South Asia Satellite” proposed at 48oE. <br />• MoU for Cooperation in the area of conservation and restoration of ancient mosques and joint research and exploratory surveys in Maldives. <br />• MoU on cooperation in the field of Tourism. <br />• Action Plan for Defence Cooperation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Indus Towers appointed Hemant Kumar Ruia as its CFO. <br />Indus Towers is the country's largest telecom tower firm offering infrastructure services to all telecom operators and other wireless services providers. <br />It is an independently managed company. <br />On 11 April 2016 Indus Towers appointed Hemant Kumar Ruia as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />10 April observed as World Homoeopathy Day. <br />World Homoeopathy Day was observed on 10 April 2016. It was organised by India. <br />The day celebrates the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a German Physician. <br />The day is observed by the international professional body of Homeopaths named as Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis (LMHI). <br />The Homoeopathic fraternity organizes, road shows, medical camps and memorial events to popularize the strength of Homoeopathy. <br />At present, Homeopathy is practiced in more than 80 countries in different form. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I Support Skill India campaign. <br />Skill India is an initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16 July 2015. <br />In the second week of April 2016 Union Government signed Sachin Tendulkar to endorse the I Support Skill India campaign. <br />The step is taken to reach out to the youth and build awareness on the importance of skill development. <br />The initiatives include National Skill Development Mission, National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme and the Skill Loan scheme. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />President Pranab Mukherjee conferred Padma Awards 2016. <br />On 12 April 2016 President Pranab Mukherjee presented the Padma Awards. <br />These awards were presented at a Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. <br />He granted 5 Padma Vibhushan, 11 Padma Bhushan and 40 Padma Shri awards.
