Russia swears that its warplanes obeyed all safety rules when they buzzed a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Baltic Sea.<br />President Obama's administration deemed the actions "unsafe" and the U.S. will file a diplomatic protest.<br />That may prove to be futile as Russia already as it's widely known Russia resents the U.S. operating close to Russian territory.<br />Commander of the USS Donald Cook said the Russian planes performed a "simulated attack profile," although they were unarmed.<br />The pair of Russian attack jets came as close as 1,000 yards at an altitude of 100 feet of the destroyer on Monday.
