For more information: \r
\r
**Before starting this project make sure to have your light circut turned off.\r
\r
In this video we use:\r
-DAP Trim Caulk\r
-Great Stuff Pro Series Insulating Foam\r
-Pro Foam Dispensing Gun\r
\r
To air seal a cam light (recessed lighting) you will need to remove the lightbulb and the trim plate. Once this is complete you can start air sealing.\r
\r
Seal against the drywall where the cam light has been cut out using caulk.\r
\r
In most cases you can find the cam light in the attic and seal from top-down. If you do not have easy or any access from the attic or the cam light is on the main level you can seal the light from bottom-up. Cam lights on main level can leak as well. They can be a major source of dust and air leakage in your house. For air sealing this we use insulating fire rated foam.
