rugby highlights:Glasgow Warriors scrum-half Mike Blair announces retirement. <br />Former Scotland captain Mike Blair has retired immediately from playing with Glasgow Warriors. <br /> <br />The 35-year-old, who was capped 85 times and was a British and Irish Lion, is currently sidelined through concussion with the Pro12 club. <br /> <br />Blair will become an assistant coach with the Scotstoun club next season. <br /> <br />"Although there was an opportunity to play on next year, I believe now is the right time for me to make that change," he said. <br /> <br />"It was always my intention to move into a coaching role. <br /> <br />"With only a few games left this season, I have unfortunately run out of time to be able to regain my fitness before the end of this campaign." <br /> <br />Blair started his professional career with Edinburgh and had spells with Brive and Newcastle Falcons before joining Glasgow last summer. <br />PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE MY CHANNEL. <br />https://www.youtube.com/Rugbyworlds
