This is a "wind scorpion" which was sneaking around in my bathroom. It ran into my closet, then into my bedroom where I caught it in a cup. Some research reveals that it is very frightening, but harmless.

It is a "Solifugae" of which, there are over 1,000 species. They are also called: Wind scorpions, camel spiders, or sun spiders.

There are lots of stories about people being frightened by them, but their danger to people is negligible.

They have no venom glands, nor means to deliver venom. A large one may be able to inflict a painful nip, though nothing medically significant.

Still, while editing this video, I hit my knee on the underside of my desk several times from spazzing out at any slight sensation around my bare feet on the floor.

At the end of the video when released, it was apparently trying to dig in and hide, then backed itself into a large crack in a cowering posture. I feel sort of bad for traumatizing it. It still can't stay in my house though!
