Mullen the wombat was received by Sleepy Burrows Wombat Sanctuary’s Donna Stepan early in May, covered in tick bites and orphaned after his mother was hit by a car. Stepan was unsure whether Mullen would survive the traumatic experience, but it seems he is thriving in her dedicated care.

“All ticks gone, drinking beautifully and settled which makes us humans happy,” she told Storyful.

This video shows Mullen suckling happily on his bottle of formula, while swaddled in a blanket.
