The first release and teaser of the Wêreld Records Launch back in 2015. Wêreld Records is a community of South African artists that are working together to create beautiful and provocative music and visual art, largely beyond the reach of mainstream conveyor belts. The eclectic armada of Wêreld members share an intimidating range of skill-sets and already boast diverse bodies of work. Carefully reconsidering the connections between artist, artwork and perceiver, and constantly reinventing how and where live music can be performed and received, Wêreld was dreamed up and instigated by Jaco van der Merwe (of Bittereinder and Walkie Talkie) in the infamous and unpredictable city of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2015.
