A dramatic video has emerged of an out-of-control paraglider spinning rapidly in the air before violently hitting the sea.<br /><br />The footage, shot earlier this month in Ölüdeniz, Turkey, captured the moment the pilot crashed into the water because he didn't evaluate his altitude well enough. <br /><br />He explained online that he was trying to avoid a storm and did a SAT manoeuvre to reduce his altitude. <br /><br />However the surface of the sea appears further than it seems due to an optical illusion which explains why he hit the water at a "very high speed".<br /><br />The pilot suffered a leg fracture but is now recovering.
