App of the Week: GT Racing 2

2014-07-24 4 Dailymotion

67 different, fully customizable vehicles in a realistic racing game, our App of the Week is GT Racing 2. GT Racing 2 is the second edition in the successful series from Gameloft, a racing game with a ton of different modes and options for improvement and customization. Of course, every improvement or modification you make will cost you coins and credits, and not surprisingly, collecting coins is a slow process. If you want to go faster, you can always buy them, but in the meantime, just enjoy the races. First, choose your car. You can buy packs of cars, which are always replicas of real models. If you’re looking for something free, you have to pay with virtual currency and choose between the available models; eventually, you’ll be able to unlock more. GTA Racing 2 includes multiple models categorized by class. You can play in campaign or multiplayer mode, which pits you against the leaders of all the race, but using this mode will cost you credits. There’s also the chance of events popping up. Select the controls that you feel most comfortable using, and start racing circuits with the good graphics and realism in driving offered in the game. During campaign mode, you’ll be competing against other online players times for that extra bit of motivation. Change cameras, including a view from the review mirror, and pause the game to get a nice 360 degree view. The garage is where you’ll find all your cars and where you can apply upgrades, painting them your favorite color, buying mechanics, and reading the latest updates or news of your team. GTA Racing 2 is one of the best apps to kill time if you like racing, and only if you know how to win.
