Obama preaches human rights in Vietnam, wants 'peaceful resolution' with China

A day after lifting the arms embargo on Vietnam, President Obama is now calling for increased human rights in the country as well as a "peaceful resolution" to disputes in the South China Sea.<br />One of the points of emphasis in his address to the Vietnamese people was the need to uphold human rights.<br />Human rights "is not a threat to stability" but reinforces it, Obama said.<br />Obama also discussed recent problems in the South China sea.<br />"In the South China Sea, the U.S. is not a claimant in current disputes, but we will stand with our partners in upholding key principles like freedom of navigation," Obama said.
