Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko's lawyers say the Normandy format negotations between Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine were "crucial" to her release, and say Putin has to respect German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande "whether he likes it or not".
