The South Korean president also called for more cultural cooperation with Uganda.<br />This came as she watched some special performances by both countries on the last day in the East African country.<br />For details we turn to Kim Mok-yeon <br />On her final day in Uganda, President Park Geun-hye urged further cooperation with Uganda especially in the cultural sector.<br />The statement came as the Korean leader watched cultural performances on Sunday including a B-boy dance, a taekwondo display and traditional performances from Korea and Uganda.<br />Around 15-hundred people took part in the event, held at a hotel in Kampala.<br />They included Korea's foreign minister Yun Byung-se and his Ugandan counterpart Henry OryemOkello. <br />President Park said art and culture has the power to tear down walls between people and create friendly relations. <br /><br /><br />"I hope Korea and Uganda put greater efforts into cultural exchanges and open up to each other. <br />The Korean government will strive to create more opportunities to allow the citizens of both countries to communicate and become one. Thank you" <br /><br /><br />President Park is more than half-way through a three-nation swing of East Africa. <br />She's scheduled to travel to Nairobi on Monday to forge deeper economic and diplomatic ties with Kenya through summit talks with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.<br />Kim Mok-yeon, Arirang News. <br /><br />
