The rise in the water level could "last", says French Prime Minister Manuel Valls during a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras, warning that the phenomenon hasn't reached its peak yet in Paris and in the Indre-et-Loire department, near Tours. Flooding has swelled the river Seine by 6.0 metres (20 feet) in central Paris with a peak of up to 6.50 metres expected late Friday, the highest level in 30 years in the French capital.
