Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen <br />Recipe for: Chinese Fried Shrimp Balls <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br />500g Raw Prawns <br />2 Spring Onions <br />1 Tbsp Cornflour <br />1 Egg White <br />½ Tsp Sesame Oil <br />1 Tbsp Oil <br />1 Tsp Ground White Pepper <br />80 to 100 Sheets Wonton Skins <br />Salt to Taste <br /> <br />Method: <br /> 1. Finely chop the prawns very finely and place into a mixing bowl. <br /> 2. Finely chop the spring onions and place in the bowl with the prawns. <br /> 3. Add the white pepper & the egg white. <br /> 4. Add the salt and cornflour, then mix the ingredients to form a paste. <br /> 5. Slice the wonton skins into thin strips. <br /> 6. Place the wonton skins in a bowl and toss to separate. <br /> 7. Take 1 Tbsp of the prawn paste and roll it over the bed of wonton skins. <br /> 8. Make sure the prawn balls are evenly coated with wonton skins. <br /> 9. Heat 1 litre of oil in the wok. <br /> 10. Place the prawn balls in the hot oil one at a time. <br /> 11. Deep fry until they turn golden brown. Do this is batches. <br /> 12. Remove from oil and drain. <br /> 13. Transfer onto a dish, garnish and serve with sweet chilli sauce. <br /> <br />Thank you for watching.
