Nepal, June 07 (ANI): The leaders and cadres of Federal Alliance, the grouping of seven Madhesi-based political parties and 22 other ethnic groups, met at Birgunj, nearly 140 kms from Kathmandu, to discuss future course of action regarding their ongoing anti-Constitution protest. All heads of the 29 parties were present during the meeting. The Madhesi agitation that began in Terai region, made its way to capital Kathmandu recently, after only which, the issue has been in the garnering attention. Blaming the government for not giving into their demands, one of the coaltion parties, Nayashakti Party, member Aatmaram Shah said the government wants the protest to continue, adding to people's woes. Shah has vowed to continue with the protest unless the government fulfills their demands. Madhesis have been agitating for the past 6 months to press the government for making amendments in the New Constitution. Madeshis feel that they have been neglected under the new constitution. Their recent protests in Kathmandu have attracted a large number of people.
