ORLANDO, FLORIDA — Actor Luis Burbano is one of the lucky few to survive the Sunday massacre by repressed homosexual ISIS-inspired mass shooter Omar Mateen. However, the actions he took during his escape may have both saved and cost lives.

Forty-nine people were killed and dozens wounded in the weekend violence at the Pulse nightclub, an LGBT venue. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Speaking to Megyn Kelly on Fox program the Kelly File, Burbano detailed how he was at the club with friends when the shooting started. The Orlando-based actor says he and some 20 others fled through a side door and “crammed” into a small alley on the side of the building.

To help the many clubbers in the narrow alley escape, Burbano and another man held the exit door shut and blocked others from exiting — while the shooting was going on. He says people escaped through and hole in a fence.

Burbano told Kelly that he is “far from a hero.”

“I don't feel like even a survivor,” he said. “I just feel like a person who had to do what they had to do in that moment in time.”
