Xiao's Kitchen - Welcomes you to our cooking channel. <br />Recipe for: Chinese Cabbage Leaf & Beef Parcels <br /> <br /> I like to serve this dish with boiled new potatoes; you can also serve this with rice dishes. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br />300g lean mince beef <br />1 Chinese cabbage <br />2 Tbsp oyster sauce <br />1 Tbsp cooking wine <br />1 Tbsp dark soy sauce <br />2 spring onions <br />1cm ginger <br />1 egg <br />1 Tsp ground white pepper <br />1 Tbsp sugar <br />2 Tbsp peanut oil <br />Salt to your taste <br /> <br /> 1. Method: <br /> 2. Finely chop the spring onions <br /> 3. Finely chop the ginger <br /> 4. Place beef into a mixing bowl <br /> 5. Add spring onion & ginger <br /> 6. Add the egg <br /> 7. Add oyster sauce, cooking wine & soy sauce <br /> 8. Add white pepper, sugar and salt <br /> 9. Mix all ingredients together well and <br /> 10. Marinate for 10 minutes <br /> 11. Remove 10-12 outer leaves from the cabbage <br /> 12. Cut in half separating the white part from the green <br /> 13. Boil 1 litre of water in a pan <br /> 14. Place the white parts of the cabbage into the pan <br /> 15. Boil for 2 minutes until leaves become transparent <br /> 16. Blanch the green part for 1 minute then remove <br /> 17. Reserve a small amount of the liquid (30ml) <br /> 18. Place the leaves under running cold water for a minute <br /> 19. Finely chop the white stem of the leaf <br /> 20. Squeeze out any excess liquid <br /> 21. Then mix into the beef mixture <br /> 22. Position the leaves on a flat surface <br /> 23. Place 1 Tbsp of the beef mixture in the centre <br /> 24. Then fold into a parcel <br /> 25. Place the parcels open side down onto a dish <br /> 26. Pour the reserved liquid into the dish, sprinkle with peanut oil <br /> 27. Place into a steamer for 40 minutes <br /> 28. Remove from steamer <br /> 29.
