BUSHNELL, FLORIDA — A 58-year-old man is recovering in hospital after an 8-foot alligator took a bite out of his leg Tuesday night. <br /> <br />The attack occurred at around 6:30 p.m. when the man spotted the 300 lb beast at his home. He shot it and went to see if he’d killed it. <br /> <br />He clearly didn’t because that’s when the gator chomped down on the man’s leg. <br /> <br />Florida wildlife officials later euthanized the beast. The man was airlifted to a local hospital, where he is reportedly in stable condition.
