A suicide bomb attack in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu has killed at least a dozen people.<br /><br /> The Al-Shabaab Islamic group attacked the Nasa-hablod hotel, telling police that “apostate members of the government” frequented it.<br /><br /> After the explosion its fighters stormed the building and gunfire broke out. Police said an unknown number of hostages were taken.<br /><br /> Al Shabaab frequently stages attacks in the city, aiming to overthrow the western backed government.<br /><br /> The attack comes as Muslims hold their fast in month of Ramadan in Somalia and worldwide.<br /><br /> Al Shabaab has staged attacks before during Ramadan, targeting places where people gather to break their fast.<br />
