Conservative commentator and journalist George Will said he is leaving the Republican Party over its impending nomination of Donald Trump as the party’s presidential standard-bearer.<br />“This is not my party,” Mr. Will said at a Friday event hosted by the conservative legal organization Federalist Society, according to the website PJMedia.<br />Will said that he changed his voter registration from “Republican” to “unaffiliated” several weeks ago, the day after House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wis.)<br />endorsed Trump.<br />Mr. Will’s departure from the party is the latest in a string of conservatives and Republicans who say that Mr. Trump is an unsuitable nominee for the party.<br />Will did not say which presidential candidate he will be supporting instead.
