PORTLAND, OREGON — A mother who returned to her house with her two young children early Sunday morning discovered an intruder inside, and shot and killed him. <br /> <br />Portland Police said the 33-year-old woman shot the 59-year-old man inside her Powellhurst-Gilbert home sometime before 1:47 a.m. <br /> <br />The woman has not yet been identified, but authorities said she came home with her 5- and 10 year-old children and discovered the man hiding inside a closet of one of her children’s bedrooms, according to Oregon Live. <br /> <br />Armed with a handgun, she shot and killed the suspect. <br /> <br />The identity of the male suspect has not yet been made public. The victim’s name will be released once an autopsy is performed and the man’s family is notified.
