Although this side was credited to Joe Furst, it is quite a mystery who is behind this denomination. Sheet music exists, which suggests a real band led by Furst existed. However, Rust lists a large lineup for this band except Furst! According to Rust, this orchestra may have comprised Bunny Berigan, Sterling Bose and Nat Natoli, t; Tommy Dorsey, Chuck Campbell and Larry Altpeter, tb; Sid Stonebyrn and Jimmy Dorsey, as; Larry Binyon clots; Harry Hoffman, Walt Edelstein, possibly others, vn; Joe Meresco, p; Dick McDonough, Carl Cress or Perry Botkin, g; Artie Bernstein or Dick Cherwin, sb; Larry Gomar or Stan King, d. Actually the only certainty on this lovely 1932 recording is vocalist Paul Small.
