Footage of a pair of canoeists crashing into the side of an ocean tanker ship off the coast of the California, USA. <br /><br />The video, filmed last year, shows the husband and wife canoeing team bumping into the side of the giant ship which had its engine running. <br /><br />The filmer later wrote online: "We had no idea that an anchored ship would have its engine running with the propeller turning. <br /><br />"As we were riding along the back of the ship it created a suction toward the boat so our canoe started getting sucked into the side of the ship and I was unable to steer it away which ultimately caused us to crash into the side of the ship." <br /><br />Once in the water we felt our bodies being suck toward the ship's side," he continued. <br /><br />"We kept pushing off the side of the ship with our feet and trying to swim away. I had to swim away from the ship and pull our canoe away at the same time."
