A heartwarming video has emerged of a mother making her daughter's doll look more like her in order to confront the "Western World's ideals of beauty".<br /><br />The footage, shot last year in Utah, USA, shows Emma, 8, looking at herself after her mother put makeup on her so she would look like a doll she recently bought. <br /><br />When she sees herself, Emma is devastated and keeps repeating that she "doesn't look like [herself]".<br /><br />As a result, her mother, artist Amy Pearce Stone, decided to repaint the doll so it will look more like her daughter. <br /><br />When she discovers the makeover Emma is much happier and finds the doll "so cute". <br /><br />"I was NOT expecting the reaction I got from her when I gave her a makeover to look like one of her dolls" Amy Pearce Stone wrote online. <br /><br />"The video ended up taking a completely different direction than I expected" she added.
