'First' Pokemon Go Song Released on Commercial Radio

<br /> <p>Melbourne band The Stiffys said they released the first Pokemon Go-related song on commercial radio</a> in Australia on July 13. “The Pokemon GO song” from their upcoming EP is a catchy rock/pop tune, and the video features the band’s bass player Jason Leigh wandering around a Victorian suburb catching Pokemon through the app. Leigh told Storyful the entire clip was shot within an hour from their studio in Northcote.</p><p>“The song is about the perils of Pokemon Go in a modern relationship,” Leigh said. “The perils include getting hit by a car and disconnecting from each other.”</p><br /><p>“There’s also a competitive element, the girl in the song becomes so obsessed with the game.” Credit: YouTube/The Stiffys</p><br />
