Dramatic footage of lightning striking a tree on the side of a road in Canton, Missouri, USA. <br /><br />The video, filmed on July 10, shows heavy rain battering the car during a storm, when suddenly a bolt of lightning lights up a tree to the left of the highway. <br /><br />The filmer later wrote online: "I was driving from St. Louis, Missouri through Canton, Missouri with my family when we encountered some heavy rain. <br /><br />"As we drove north we could see that it was clearing up but all of a sudden lightning struck on the opposite side of interstate 61." <br /><br />"It was very loud and woke up all my kids," he continued.
