Footage of water being handed out to commuters at Brighton Station after it was closed due to overcrowding fears last night on the hottest day of the year.<br /><br />The video shows a crowd gathered at the gates as people try to push through, after the station was hit by delays and cancellations throughout the day. <br /><br />A signalling failure near London as well as a small sink hole beneath a track reportedly caused the problems, on a day when temperatures soared to more than 30 degrees celsius. <br /><br />The station was closed after 7 o'clock to give staff a chance to control the crowds.
