Silverback gorilla knocks a woman to the ground on her honeymoon in Rwanda <br />gorilla charges woman and shoves her to the ground during safari tour <br /> <br /> <br />Gemma Cosgriff, 29, was on a honeymoon trip with her new husband in Rwanda when she was targeted over by the giant ape <br />A woman celebrating her honeymoon with her new husband was left in a state of shock when she was charged at and pushed over by a giant gorilla . <br /> <br />Gemma Cosgriff, 29, was enjoying her holiday with spouse Damian when they encountered the animal on a safari tour in Rwanda. <br /> <br />The terrifying video shows the 300kg mountain gorilla charging across the long grass towards Gemma, dressed in a bright pink jacket, and shoving her to the floor. <br /> <br />She then cowers in the long grass for a split second while the wild animal moves away, before being helped to her feet by a tour guide. <br /> <br />Mrs Cosgriff told 9News: "I was fearing for my life in that split second." <br /> <br />Gemma had previously been told by safari leaders to act submissively if approached by one of the animals and crucially, avoid eye contact. <br /> <br />"I'd been given advice not to look in his eyes so I was like, 'don't look at him, don't look at him'," she added. <br /> <br />Gemma said she wasn't injured by the gorilla and said its soft hands cushioned the impact on her chest. <br /> <br />She said that she believed her choice of clothing could have contributed to the gorilla's interest in her - and on reflection shouldn't have worn the bright pink jacket. <br /> <br />First comes love, then comes marriage... then comes the giant angry gorilla!
