John Cho said in an interview with Vulture that a “welcome-home kiss’ between two male characters was removed from the sci-fi sequel Star Trek Beyond.<br />Cho’s character Sulu is revealed to have a daughter with his male partner, but Cho says that there was originally supposed to be more affection.<br />“There was a kiss that I think is not there any more,” he said in the interview.<br />“It wasn’t like a make-out session.<br />We’re at the airport with our daughter.<br />It was a welcome-home kiss.<br />I’m actually proud of that scene, because it was pretty tough.”
